Way back when I really really wanted a mashed potato bar but logistically it just does not work in our space and having a seated meal but having guests get up for their mashed potatoes seemed cumbersome. The solution? Three varieties of mashed potatoes served in one glass after the salad and before the entree. Caramelized onion gravy on the side.
