I heart Snippet and Ink and Wedding Paper Divas!

I was the lucky recipient of a gift certificate from Wedding Paper Divas compliments of one of my favorite blogs, Snippet and Ink! I am SO excited. I have no idea what I am going to use it towards but there are so many great designs. Wedding Paper Divas is a great site to search for save the date cards, modern wedding invitations, thank you notes and rehearsal dinner invitations. Most of my favorites are by Paper + Cup. Here are a few I am considering. Thanks again to Snippet and Ink and Wedding Paper Divas!

Egg Press at Minted.com

I received an Egg Press newsletter yesterday announcing they now carry their full wedding line on minted.com. I love, love, love Egg Press. Check out some of their awesome designs.

Looks like their invites run about $700-900 for 100 invitations depending on design.

BBQ Invites - Goocofied

Here are some final Gocco pics of our BBQ invites. It was a little difficult at first but I think that had a lot to do with us wanting so many different colors and lining the circles up so they fit into each other. Hope you like them!

Putting ink on screen #1, the grey stuff is supposed to keep the colors from bleeding over.

What the invite looks like after screen #1 is printed.
Once the cards dried, this takes an hour or two, we printed on top of the cards with screen #2

You can see it took us a few tries before we could get the circles to line up exactly right.

TA DA! Finished product.

Proud Owner

I am the new owner of a Xyron 510 machine! I just ordered one off (don't laugh they had the best price) HSN.com. It was only 30 bucks which included shipping, I tried e-bay but at 30 bucks you can't beat even e-bay prices and now I don't have to wait and bid and whatever. So exciting! Now I don't really have a specific purpose for this but I am thinking labels galore, it does also laminate and make magnets. Woo hooo.

Eye Candy (yummy fonts)

For all you DIY invite folks here are some great yummy fonts. The first two may look familiar to some of you, let me know if you figure out where you have seen them.

Project DIY: Episode 4

Episode 4: Save the Dates

Since I am only in the gathering ideas stage and not the actual making stage I won't have any fun pictures to share but I will make sure to post them as soon as any production begins. We are going with the increasingly popular postcard save the date. Only I suppose to save on envelopes and waste as we will probably end up using the same Eames 42 cent stamp since postcard stamps are generally ugs.

I am thinking the front of the postcard will have an image (photograph or drawing) of me and the fiance. Something a little vintage, artistic, or maybe comical. Back of the postcard will have one half decorative in the pattern we like, with a sqaure where addresses are inserted. Other side will have area info/date. Pretty simple but the invitations are going to be pretty fab and I just want the save the date to be easy.
What are your favorite save the dates you have seen?

Invites

A big thank you to An Excited Bride for posting about these great invitations. I love the little pocket, a great way to hold the rsvp card, directions card, etc. I have seen similar paper pockets at Paper Source but I think the fabric personalizes it so much more.

Is it Summer Yet???

I can not wait for the Eames stamps to come out this summer. FINALLY a good stamp! I will be first in line to score these puppies for our save the dates and invites.

Etsy Invitations/Save the Date

I found this on Etsy and I love it for an invitation or save the date. I am not sure if I would go all out with the poster invite, though it would be rad I don't know if I am down for all those shipping costs. But I am stronly considereing for our save the date postcard. And the artist is from Chicago also - support the locals and all that good stuff.
