Fashion Disaster

Since Fall is coming any day now (yay my favorite season) I dug out my pair of not quite knee high boots. Now, I think I may have worn these boots twice in the few years I have had them so they are in great shape, I just have no clue what to wear them with! My fiance thinks they are cowboy boots which no, they are not, they are Seychelles brown leather boots I got from Anthropologie. They do have the chunkier wood heel and the metal rings on the sides which I suppose makes them slightly "cowboy." They are too tight to tuck jeans into so that is out, I suppose I have to wear them more slouchy.

PLEASE HELP! Or should I just sell them to someone who might get more use out of them, they definitely have that Anthro/Urban Outfitters vibe which I love but in reality doesn't work so well on me.

Don't throw them away! I think you make them more chic if you dress 'em up a bit, rather than dress them down. Don't pair them with just jeans; instead, opt for a cute little wool or tartan skirt and tights, and a little sweater with some girly detail (silky flower or fitted cut).

I think I would wear them with long skirts, heavy of light fabric, I think either would work. Have you tried that?

I think a skirt and think tights would be super cute for fall. Those boots are killer and not cowboy-ish.

skirt with tights or leggings. Lots of layers on top!

Those are super cute....i hear ya though about trying to pull them off. They would never work on me- at least the mirror tells me so. :)
The tights sound like a good way to go. Give them a try before giving them the 'boot'! haha

They would look great with a dress or with jeans. I think it would lookl good with a khaki skirt, white shirt and a jean jacket. Keep them.

Definitely would be awesome with a skirt! I'd go with a shorter one, like knee length, and not longer because they are too chunky and would weigh you down and look frumpy. Get some great tights and make sure to have a girly detail somewhere in your outfit.

Also, if you want to go for the "celebrity look" of sorts, try it with a light flowery dress for a fashionable contrast.

Whatever you do, you must keep them! They are classic and will always look fashionable when paired with other things that are in style.

Love these! Keep them! (Or send to me:) I echo everyone else - skirt & wool tights. Ooh, or knit dress. These are super great & will mos. def. serve you well for years to come!

They would be really adorable with a little black wrap dress and some delicate gold jewelry-like layered necklaces! It is my belief that a long sleeve black wrap dress should be a staple in every woman's wardrobe!
